Job Description:
Management Accountant – Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Newport: Dynamic, Growing Business | ASAP Start
Salary circa £50,000 - £55,000 DOE
Minimum 6 Month Assignment
Are you an experienced Qualified Management Accountant ready for an impactful role in a thriving business? Due to a recent team restructure, our client urgently needs a capable and qualified individual to join their finance team on a potential temporary-to-permanent basis. They’re looking for someone who can start immediately but are open to waiting for the perfect candidate.
About You:
*Qualifications: ACCA or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE)
*Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills are essential, and Power BI experience is highly advantageous
*Experience: Hands-on accountant with a keen eye for detail; previous experience in the construction industry would be a significant advantage
Your Responsibilities:
*Prepare monthly Management Accounts and G/L trial balance for review
*Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for management approval
*Maintain the general ledger, including posting journals, and updating prepayments, accruals, CoS, and deferred income schedules
*Manage Sales, WIP, Invoicing, Credit Control, and Revenue Recognition, ensuring data integrity and accurate customer billing
*Prepare Management Information & Analysis and support budget and cost analysis
*Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage depreciation
*Support VAT and Tax returns
*Resolve customer and vendor queries promptly
*Assist with annual and local audits, as well as statutory accounts
*Take on additional tasks as assigned by management
