Job Description:
Learning Support Assistant - SEN School - Guildford
We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and committed individual to support students both within and outside the classroom either within a teaching group or on a 1:1 basis. It is desirable, but not essential, that you have experience of working with students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health and associated complex learning difficulties, but we also welcome applications from inexperienced candidates and will provide thorough training for all new colleagues.
This special school caters for students aged 10 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health as their primary identified needs. The school is based in the beautiful Surrey countryside and offers significant opportunities for outdoor learning.
The school offers a curriculum that covers academic and practical subjects allowing all students to find their talents and strengths whilst focusing on the skills they need to build better futures. The bespoke approach to learning means students grow in self-confidence and are prepared to take their next steps in their lives after school.
The key requirement for the role is a good level of enthusiasm and a strong desire to support young people with complex needs - training and CPD is offered.
Join a team that is committed to providing life chances and opportunities for all their students. To find out more please get in touch.
