Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the finance function for a successful business that has recently been acquired by an international group. Operating in the retail and distribution sector they have enjoyed steady growth across all product categories and with the support of a closely aligned parent company they are now in a strong position to create synergies and leverage expansion opportunities across Europe and the US.
This new role will form part of the senior leadership team in the UK focused on driving financial performance and executing business strategy by overseeing financial operations and integrating systems into the wider group. Working alongside the Directors you will have the opportunity to influence the future success of the business. The key responsibilities of this role will include:
*Improve financial systems and processes to ensure robust controls and support growth
*Implement financial reports and analysis for key stakeholders at site and group level
*Develop cashflow forecasting models encompassing FX and growth scenarios
*Lead the finance team in the UK to ensure completion of monthly accounts, budgets and forecasts
*Provide analysis to support decision making and business strategies
*Provide financial support to contract and pricing negotiations
*Contribute to financial strategy and business planning
*Preparation of Stat accounts and external audit liaison
*Ensure compliance with statutory bodies and international tax regulations
The ideal candidate for this role should be commercially savvy and able to establish strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You should have a proven ability to work in a change environment, implementing new systems and business processes to support growth whilst also providing credible leadership to a finance department. Applicants must be CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified with previous experience of a senior financial management position. Knowledge of the retail / distribution / e-commerce sector would also be highly advantageous along with previous exposure to group reporting and ERP systems.
