A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant on a fixed term basis to join a dynamic property business within their Operational Finance department. Based in Leeds City Centre but with the option to work from home 2-3 days a week, this role will report directly to a skilled and experienced Finance Manager.
The successful candidate will be part-qualified, working towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications and will possess a thirst for detail. They will have the responsibility of supporting the team with effective reporting and month-end activities, along with ensuring compliance is adhered to.
Responsibilities included but not limited to, will be the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, aiding in transforming their bank reconciliation process into a systemised operation, executing month-end closing procedures and review of managing agent reports.
Furthermore, the incumbent will carry business risk management functions, and resolving ad-hoc operational queries related to accounts payable and receivable areas. Importantly, they will need to foster strong relationships with their closest internal customers to assist with managing actions arising from debt meetings.
The prospective Finance Assistant will be a self-starter and comfortable working within a team. They should have sharp analytical ability, strong Excel skills, and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
