Job Description:
Butler Rose is working alongside one of our leading large manufacturing clients who have an exciting opportunity for a S/4 Hana Procurement & Supply Chain Officer to join their Group Procurement & Supply Chain team.
Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage, UK (Relocation package may be available)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office plus international travel to Paris/Rome up to 25%)
Security Clearance: Must be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions relating to nationality and rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) as a minimum requirement.
Our client is embarking on a critical project to upgrade from SAP E66 to SAP HANA, they are seeking an experienced SAP E66 Materials Management (MM) Specialist to support this transition. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP E66, specifically in Materials Management and the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, as well as a proven track record of enhancing and optimising SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the upgrade from SAP E66 to SAP HANA, focusing on process improvements, system functionality, and documentation.
Update and refine current processes, with a particular emphasis on P2P and Materials Management.
Engage in testing of the future-state process flows and help map out the transition journey.
Collaborate with colleagues in Italy and France, bringing strong communication and persuasion skills to drive change across regions.
Work autonomously to implement SAP E66-related changes and provide valuable insights for system enhancements, new processes, and reporting structures.
Support the UK Procurement & Supply Chain input to the design and implementation of a harmonised / standardised process that can be implemented in S/4HANA. You will co-ordinate with others to leverage and improve a single data source and ways of working that provide context and detail to add value to the process.
Identify opportunities to improve UK Procurement & Supply Chain processes and maximise the benefits of S/4HANA within the function by working closely with colleagues to ensure high level of knowledge and understanding is achieved.
Conduct training and support effective knowledge transfer within the team.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in SAP E66 Materials Management (MM), particularly with process development, enhancements, and reporting.
Strong background in Procurement within the SAP E66 framework, with a focus on P2P processes.
Experience working independently on SAP projects, with the ability to manage tasks autonomously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support collaborative work with teams in France and Italy.
A consultative approach, bringing fresh ideas and a proactive mindset to SAP module improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive hands-on experience with SAP E66 is essential those with theoretical or minimal exposure may not be suited for this role.
Proven ability to lead SAP system upgrades, optimisations, and functional changes independently.
SAP certification is preferred but must be paired with substantial, proven experience and practical expertise.
