Job Description:
Role Purpose
You will support the Data Protection Manager on the completion of their activities and maintain GDPR compliance across LifeSearch. You will achieve this by supporting requests from customers on data protection queries, the investigation of data breaches, advising the DPO on trends and risks and regular policy and process reviews.
Responsibilities
Personal data breaches
To investigate and record data breaches, assess if they require reporting to the supervisory authority and escalate to the Data Protection Manager where appropriate. Identify trends and complete root cause analysis of breaches, reporting recommendations and outcomes to the Data Protection Manager
Data subject rights requests
Responsible for managing the Data Subject Right processes, including right to erasure and subject access requests; actioning requests to completion within regulatory timeframes. Monitor for any trends and report to the Data Protection Manager.
Policy review
Responsible for the review and maintenance of data protection policies. This includes ensuring they remain up to date and in line with current regulation.
Including areas such as advice and guidance and training and awareness where required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
You will be able to work independently to support in the assessments of personal data breaches, highlighting any risks or concerns to the Data Protection Manager within specified time frame. The ability to prioritise your workloads will be key, as you need to be able to manage urgent enquiries alongside the ongoing needs to support in rights requests, reviewing policies and supporting the business in training and awareness. You must be organised to ensure all records are accurate.

Full time or Part time: We are open to both full time and part time applicants. For part time roles, a minimum of 24 hours per week is required, spread over 5 days. The salary is £28,375, with eligibility for a 5% bonus, pro-rated for part time hours.
