Meraki Talent’s leading global financial services client is actively looking for a Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer (VSE) to work on a long term contract, to perform an integral part of it’s team. As expected, the team are undergoing lots of project work and migration work, and need a solid mainframe professional with aa robust knowledge of VSE, to join them.
  
Responsibilities of the Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer (VSE)
  
*Upgrade and Support Mainframe Hardware including IBM zSeries, IBM HMC, LPAR, OSA Network integration, Dell PowerMax and Dell DLm/DataDomain Virtual Tape servers
*Upgrade and Support Mainframe Software: IBM (z/VM, DDR, ICKDSF, HLASM, z/VSE, TCP/IP, DMS/AAE/AAG, VTAM, CICS, COBOL for VSE, VSAM etc)
*Create and Maintain REXX procedures (CMS / VSE) for automating functions and tasks
*Implement and support Mainframe performance and capacity management
*Implement and Support connectivity between Mainframe Apps and Network Apps
  
Background of the Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer (VSE):
  
*IBM zSeries experience with solid knowledge of IBM z mainframe systems and tech essential
*Solid knowledge of and experience with z/VM and z/VSE
*Knowledge of CMS XEDIT, EXEC and REXX helpful
*CA IDMS helpful
