About the Role
Level: 2
Department: Platform - Quilter Business Services
Location: Fully office based in Southampton
Contract: Permanent
In this role you will ensure all controls are carried out in line with agreed schedules (daily, weekly etc) and where relevant you will share findings within the team and with senior management.
You will be responsible for FCA reconciliation with a defined success rate and where necessary providing insights on a clear route to green on any issues identified.
You will use output of controls to self-identify any unexpected risks and to prevent them going forward.
You will be required to liaise with various internal departments to request information or provide updates on progress, as well as keeping your managers informed.
You will be responsible for reporting any breaks and providing feedback to manage and control risks.
You will work in accordance with procedures, company policy and processes whilst also acting lawfully and in accordance with the pre-defined regulatory, compliance and financial requirements e.g., Data Protection, Code of Conduct, Health and Safety and Financial Conduct Authority Standards.
As well as applying to and liaising with the FCA, for regulatory authorisation, ensuring that robust evidence of due diligence activity is provided.
About You
Drawing from your previous administrative experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, you bring a strong foundation to this role.
You will have the ability to co-ordinate your day-to-day workload and can work under pressure remaining focused and calm.
Our ideal candidate will have good analytical skills with a strong ability to extract key information from data and pay attention to details.
Experience in working in a controlled function is essential for this application.
You will be proficient with Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel and will be comfortable with the use of formulas. You will also have the ability to pick up new systems.
You will also have excellent communication skills with an ability to adapt style depending on audience and present information in a clear and concise manner.
Your friendly and adaptable nature, coupled with your ability to thrive under pressure, defines you as both an independent contributor and a collaborative team player.
