Job Description:
Job title: Court of Protection/PI Trusts Legal Executive/Solicitor
Experience: Minimum 3 years qualified or relevant experience
Salary: £45-50k DOI based on experience (+ pension + private medical)
My client is looking for a Court of Protection specialist with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience to join their well-established and fast growing team that offers specialist legal advice in the areas of Court of Protection, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Medical Negligence, Personal Injury, Personal Injury Trusts, Probate, Residential Conveyancing and Wills. .
This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner who wishes to progress their career further and to grow with this firm. The successful candidate will be working closely with the heads of department and other members of the team. Prior experience within the general private client areas of work would be an advantage.
CORE DUTIES
1. Day to day running of the Professional Deputyship matters with minimal supervision
2. Day to day running of the Personal Injury Trusts matters with minimal supervision
3. Contributing to marketing our services and the firm’s corporate objectives
4. Undertaking any relevant and associated duties as directed
5. Keeping skill set up-to-date and continually improving knowledge base required for Court of Protection and Personal Injury Trusts, and remaining Lexcel compliant.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be qualified Solicitors or Legal Executives - Minimum 3 years PQE with proven track record of extensive and relevant experience.
SKILLS
Confident communicator, persuasive and commercially astute
Excellent Client Care skills and a Team player in a professionally diverse team
Computer literate with experience of case management systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to work autonomously, producing high quality work with minimum supervision
Excellent time management and strong prioritisation skills
Efficient fee earner, able to manage own caseload with minimum supervision.
Good business development skills and comfortable with networking
Efficient time recording and file management skills.
Good mentor and ability to delegate to more junior team members.
