We drive JERA’s renewable energy business growth in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. As a global renewables IPP working across the life cycle of renewables, we are looking for key talent to be an active part of this exciting journey as the business grows further.
The role will be based in London and will require occasional travelling and frequent collaboration with the JERA Group Headquarters in Japan, the JERA Nex Headquarters in the UK and Parkwind Headquarters in Belgium.
As a direct report to Head of Accounting and Controlling UK and CFO, JERA Nex, the FP+A Manager will be responsible for driving insights, providing analysis, and developing financial models to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Financial Planning and Analysis and be able to apply their financial and analytical mind-set to help meet our growth targets.
What you will be doing:
*Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of operating expenses, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost drivers’ identification. Provide insights and recommendations to optimise operational efficiency.
*Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual operating expense budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget/forecast, identify variances, provide explanations for differences, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
*Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports and presentations on operating expense performance, highlighting key insights and trends. Present findings to senior leadership and provide actionable recommendations.
*Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial planning and analysis processes related to operating expenses. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains, in particular evolving our reporting suite.
*Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business partners across functions to understand their operating expense needs and provide financial support and insights as required. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
*Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested by senior management, providing accurate and timely financial information and insights.
*Operates Operate with a "no surprises" approach to communications. Inform leadership of financial risks and opportunities early; seek deep understanding of new performance developments; and maintain constant flow of information with Business and Finance partners. Provide recommendations to senior management on how to best navigate any identified financial risks and opportunities.
*Balance critical finance deliverables with operational requests to meet all finance deadlines while supporting business partners.
*Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on operating expenses. Provide decision support to senior management through scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
About you:
What you will have:
*Qualified finance professional ACA/CFA/CIMA (3+ years PQE) with analytical bias.
*Ideally, 1-3 years in a big 4 accounting firm.
*Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on operating expenses analysis.
*Experience in a corporate FP&A function within a multinational corporation is preferred.
*Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
*Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial planning software.
*Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Netsuite) and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
*Data-driven and commercially minded, with excellent communication skills.
*Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple projects.
*Naturally curious, with the ability to ask the right questions and challenge the status quo.
