Job Description:
Our client who is a Lloyds Broker is looking for an Open Market Technician to join their Political Violence team in the London office. The purpose of the role is to work in supporting the business and Brokers with a wide range of Technical duties for Open Market placements.
Main Duties:
*Provide technical and administrative support to the broking team.
*Liaise with the broking team regarding clients’ insurance requirements and translate this to slip detail.
*Prepare MRC,’s Certificates, Endorsements and Policies to reflect the intent of the insurance slips that meet current Market requirements.
*Produce credit/debit notes including calculating premium adjustments.
*Prepare cover notes, broker insurance documents, debit notes and premium adjustments.
*Provide cover for the preparation and processing of policy documentation that meets Market Reform requirements.
*Respond to Technical queries and the processing of premiums and claims as required.
*Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
*Maintain and update diary records in outlook and Global XB
*Produce placing slips, endorsements and addenda for use by the broker.
*Carry out non-subscription and overseas broking, as the need arises.
*Responsible for minimising the number of late signings to the Market.
*Closing to bureaux and non-bureaux markets.
*Lloyd’s Compliance - Atlas as well as other external London Market online platforms such as DA SATS and PPL
*Support the maintenance of the policy register and assist with the handling of enquiries from Xchanging regarding policy matters.
Essential Skills Required:
*Previous experience within a similar Technical Insurance role
*Experience producing MRC Slips
*KNowledge of Lloyds and market regulations
Desirable:
*Good organisation skills
*Strong IT skills
*Knowledge of Atlas
