Job Description:
My terrific client based in East Harling are looking for an experienced payroll person to work part time and ideally someone who is happy to complete some HR admin and general administration tasks.
20 hours a week
4 - 5 days a week (flexible for the right person)
£25K pro rata
Hybrid working available
Skills and experience needed
*Be a good team player
*Able to prioritize and take initiative
*Have proven experience of working to tight deadlines
*Experience of computerised payroll systems
*Have some understanding of payroll legislation
*Excellent customer services skills
*Ability to perform manual calculations as and when required
*Knowledge of basic statutory and legislative regulations
*Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal
*Basic knowledge of UK tax legislation
Duties and responsibilities
*Correlate data across systems and upload to payroll software
*Process payroll within specified deadlines
*Provide basic administrative services for pensions
*Answer queries from internal and external sources
*Process all new starters, leavers, absence, statutory leave and pay
*Process and reconcile all fixed pay instructions e.g. basic salary changes, pay uplifts etc
*Prepare journals for submission to finance along with any other information required to ensure accurate financial statements
