Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join an independent SEND school in Hindhead, Surrey. This is a vibrant school set within beautiful surroundings.
The Site Manager will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance and security of two school sites and lead and manage a small team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
The Site Manager responsibilities are:
*Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of school premises, including two listed buildings, ensuring compliance with listed building regulations.
*Manage the operation and upkeep of the school’s swimming pool, including daily inspections and cleaning.
*Produce an annual schedule of works for painting and decorating at both sites.
*Liaise with external contractors for specialised works on listed buildings.
*Manage fire safety equipment, alarms, and emergency lighting, ensuring the school is fully compliant with fire safety legislation.
*Ensure the security of the school site, be the main keyholder for the site, CCTV, alarms, and regular security checks.
*Oversee school lettings
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE Level in English and Maths, together with Level 2 or 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in a trade such as electrical installation, plumbing, or carpentry. You will have proven experience in site management, facilities management, or a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
On a personal note, you will be a good communicator, able to resolve problems quickly and be an inspiring Manager.
This is a full time, permanent position, 40 hours, 5 days per week to include every other Saturday.
