Job Description:
Are you an experienced Building Control Surveyor looking for an exciting role within a large public sector organisation
If so this role may be of great interest
Our client is looking for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis
The successful applicant will
Flexible working within reason
Site assessments/inspections required within clients boundaries.
Hold a valid registration with the BSR at Class 3H.
Initiate & lead the development team approach for major projects to ensure that: - the application decision, is lawful, and is compliant with the aims and objectives of Central Government policy, corporate initiatives, and third parties’ aspirations.
Lead on building control matters at the request of the building safety Regulator as part of the multi-disciplinary team on High Risk Buildings; co-ordinating with the various key contacts within the MDT/BSR to ensure all obligations under the Building Safety Act and associated legislation. - that the developer’s aspirations are met and that the design scheme is capable of being implemented. - the post-holder must ensure that they personally, and any other staff delegated to the post holder’s control, are effectively organised and motivated in order to achieve defined service priorities and performance plan targets.
You will need Professional achievement to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, or the association of Building Engineers at full corporate membership level. (Institute of Structural Engineers/Institute of Civil Engineers/Institute of Fire Engineers in the case of certain specialisms
