Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Senior Manager to join a leading accounting practice team in a prestigious and sought after firm. As Senior Manager, you wil play a key role in delivering high-quality, complex accounting support to a diverse range of clients including AIM-listed, Main Market, and private equity-backed companies.
The ideal candidate will bring strong IFRS expertise, a solid audit or business services background, and the confidence to navigate complex accounting issues with clients. The Senior Manager will be adept at researching technical accounting areas, explaining findings to clients, and working closely with the partners of the firm. Other key responsibilities will include;
*Client Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, fostering strong relationships and addressing complex queries. Oversee WIP, billing, and ensure exceptional client service at all stages.
*Technical Leadership: Lead on complex, one-off projects, delivering detailed technical guidance and support. Confidently produce technical papers and reports for audit scrutiny.
*Team Development: Support the growth and development of the Technical Accounting team through mentoring, training, and leading by example.
*Department Management: Assist in the management of the department’s finances, recruitment efforts, and contribute strategically to the direction and development of the team.
We are looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified, with 4-5 years post-qualification experience gained likely within a big4, top10 or 20 firm of accountants, ideally with audit and/or business services exposure. Strong IFRS knowledge with proven experience in researching and interpreting complex accounting standards. A confident communicator, capable of explaining intricate technical accounting matters to a variety of stakeholders. A proactive leader with experience in managing client relationships and project delivery. Comfortable preparing and presenting detailed technical papers for audit purposes.
