Behavior Support Worker
Job Summary:
NextGen are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing care and support to children, particularly those with special educational mental health needs.
Responsibilities:
*Provide attentive care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
*Assist in the education and development of children, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs.
*Communicate effectively with children, fostering an environment of trust and encouragement.
*Implement strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum, promoting their social and emotional development.
*Engage in activities that stimulate learning and growth, including play-based learning and structured educational tasks.
*Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a cohesive support network for each child.
*Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate any concerns regarding the children’s development or behavior.
Qualifications:
*Background in special education or related fields is highly desirable.
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and their families.
*Experience working with individuals within SEMH
*A caring attitude and a passion for helping children reach their full potential are crucial for success in this role.
*Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
