Job Description:
Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives, enabling them to improve their wellbeing and move forward to independent living? If so, please read on.
Servol Community Services is an established charity which provides high quality accommodation and support for adults living with mental ill health and complex conditions. We are looking to create a new team to join our supported living service in the London Borough of Sutton (units are based in SM2 and SM5) and we need Complex Needs Keyworkers to support our adult service users who have complex mental health diagnoses.
As a key member of the team, you will:
*undertake support sessions for our service users using a trauma informed approach.
*liaise with external agencies (such as CPNs, Social Workers, Community Mental Health Teams etc.) to ensure that service users can access valuable resources and to meet their health & social care needs.
*encourage service users to contribute to the development of the service and that the service users feel they are partners in their recovery journey.
*work in a person-centred way to ensure those we support have the skills and tools to achieve their goals.
*create a service that provides the highest standards of person-centred support, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Servol recognises the importance of lived experience when working with service users with complex needs and welcome applications from individuals who have first-hand experience of mental ill health.
Hourly pay = £13.85
Hours of work = either days or nights Monday to Sunday on a rota basis. This role includes evenings, weekend and bank holiday working.
We offer a wide range of benefits, learning and development and a culture that welcomes all. Benefits include 28 days annual Leave, flexible working, pension scheme, staff discounts, employee assistance programme and career development. These aren’t token gestures - we’ve thought long and hard about how best to support our team. After all, our people are doing something amazing: helping to transform lives every day.
*Skills/knowledge/qualifications required for these roles:
*Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care would be fantastic but not essential.
*Previous experience of working with people with comorbidities, including enduring mental health conditions, Aspergers, Autism, drug and alcohol addictions.
*Previous experience of providing 1:1 and group support for vulnerable adults.
*Experience of medication management.
*Practical experience of the use of digital case management systems.
*Experience of using a trauma informed approach to support vulnerable adults.
Interviews will be held week commencing 25 November 2024 in-person on site or via TEAMS.
