Job Description:
They are a dedicated education institution based in Hillingdon, committed to providing comprehensive support to children in need of behavioural guidance. They offer full-time education to students while appropriate substantive placements are being secured or until a child is deemed ready to return to their mainstream school. Their focus lies in nurturing positive behavioural changes and academic progress in our students.
Role Overview: They are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying students requiring behavioural support, conducting one-to-one mentoring sessions, devising effective strategies to enhance behaviour management, and collaboratively drafting action plans for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
*Identify pupils in need of behavioural support through observation, communication with teaching staff, and assessments.
*Conduct one-to-one mentoring sessions with identified pupils, providing a supportive and understanding environment to address behavioural concerns.
*Develop personalized strategies and interventions tailored to the individual needs of each student, aimed at improving behavioural management and academic engagement.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support and progress monitoring for students.
*Regularly review and adjust action plans based on the evolving needs and progress of learners.
*Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions, behavioural assessments, and progress reports.
Requirements:
*Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting, preferably in a behavioural support role.
*Sound understanding of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with students, staff, and parents.
*Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
*Flexibility and adaptability to work within a dynamic educational environment.
*Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field would be advantageous.
