Job Advert: Hospital Cleaner
Location: Whalley
Contract Type: Temp To Perm, 5 days out of 7, 10am to 6pm
Our client, a reputable mental healthcare facility in Whalley is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Hospital Cleaner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who takes pride in their work, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
As a Hospital Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility, including patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and common spaces. You will be responsible for carrying out daily cleaning tasks, such as vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and disposing of waste. In addition to general cleaning duties, you will also be required to follow specific protocols for cleaning and disinfecting areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and common spaces.
Empty trash and replace liners regularly.
Restock supplies, such as hand sanitizer, soap, and toilet paper.
Follow established protocols for cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
Adhere to infection control and health and safety guidelines.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate staff.
Collaborate with other members of the cleaning team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Serve food to patients when required
Requirements:
Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of infection control and cleaning procedures.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
Flexibility to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends
