About the Role:
LTF Recruitment is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant secondary school in Wembley, conveniently located near North Wembley Station. This role is perfect for candidates with a strong academic background in English, Maths, or Science who are keen to support students’ progress in these core subjects. As a TA, you’ll work directly with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing both in-class assistance and small group interventions to boost their confidence and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support students in English, Maths, and Science, ensuring they stay engaged and succeed in their studies
*Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning resources and provide personalised support
*Provide 1:1 and small group sessions for students requiring extra help in core subjects
*Prepare resources and assist with lesson activities focused on English, Maths, and Science
*Track student progress and communicate updates to teachers, helping to shape individual learning plans
*Create a positive, inclusive environment that encourages independent learning
Ideal Candidate:
*Degree in English, Maths, Science, or a related discipline
*Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, such as in tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles
*Strong communication skills, with a patient and encouraging approach
*Ability to adapt and collaborate effectively within a school environment
*A proactive, flexible mindset with a commitment to safeguarding student welfare
Additional Information:
*Full-time, Monday to Friday
*Paid £90 - £110 per day, term time only
*Located near North Wembley Station, with excellent public transport links
*Immediate start with the potential for a long-term role
