POSITION: Associate / Senior Associate Health Litigation (Clinical Negligence – 3+ PQE)
SECTOR: Clinical Negligence
LOCATION: Liverpool (Flexible - both office based or fully remote working considered)
QC CODE: 106

ROLE
* Manage a caseload of clinical negligence files including drafting detailed reports.
* Conducting witness interviews.
* Preparing witness statements.
* Instructing expert witnesses and counsel.
* Attending court for Case Management Conferences and hearings.
* Negotiating settlements.
* Holding conferences with Counsel.
* Preparing for and attending trials and mediations.
* Develop and maintain strong client and internal relationships ensuring compliance with both internal and external protocols.
* Contribute to business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
* Play an active role in the broader Health business group and the firm, continually seeking ways to enhance processes and outcomes.
* Provide supervision and mentorship to colleagues, offering guidance through appropriate delegation and coaching.
REQUIREMENTS
* A qualified lawyer in England & Wales with a robust understanding of clinical negligence law.
* 3+ years PQE.
* Ideally, you will have experience in defendant clinical negligence, although relevant claimant experience will also be considered.
* Confidence in advising healthcare professionals at all levels on ongoing claims both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and perform well under pressure.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to adhere to guidelines and meet client protocols/KPIs.
