Job Description:
Hybrid working - 2 day in office, flexible hours, extensive benefits, uncapped commission.
A fantastic opporutnity for an experienced Recruitment Team Manager to join an award winning recruitment agency in the creative sector.
Who are we?
We’re an boutique recruitment agency like no other. Our business is built on a collaborative, supportive and socially conscious ethos that allows every person in our team to love what they do, be supported at every step and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
As the UK’s largest events specialist recruitment agency we’re the go to partners for creative agencies, production companies, associations, venues and corporate clients within the UK. All of the positions we recruit are permanent (entry through to board level) in disciplines across event management and production, design, creative, account management, sales and technical production.
We’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Team Leader to join our team and help us both solidify our market position and grow even further.
No naff KPI’s that don’t make sense, no hard sales, no internal politics – this is grown up, consultative, supportive, hardworking and ultimately successful recruitment that adds value.
Why join us?
We think we offer something different, here’s why.
A great team: Everyone says it, but we truly do work as one team, everyone supporting each other and celebrating successes in an honest and genuine way. Everyone has a part to play in what we do and how we develop as a business, so open forums and idea sharing are integral to our success.
Extensive resources: From the latest tech through to bespoke advertising campaigns mean that our teams have the very best tools to perform their role in making us one of the best agencies out there.
Career opportunity: We trust and develop our team, that’s why almost everyone in the business has been promoted at least once during their time with us, for example: our MD joined us as a Recruitment Consultant and many of our consultants joined as resourcers.
Hours: We treat people in a grown up way - that’s why we offer flexible hours. Want to come in late - no problem, want to leave early, again no problem. It’s all about the work being done.
Home working: Our rather fabulous offices are open all week to every team member, but generally we work from home 3 days a week. We’re a fab team who see the value in being together regularly, so you’d need to be able to commute to our Birmingham office (Bennetts Hill) on 2 set days a week.
Holidays: 26 days holiday (plus more each year) + bank holidays + the option to take another 3 unpaid.
Healthcare: All of our team have full healthcare from day one – no expense spared.
The environment: Yes there’s music playing, fresh fruit and all the other stuff you’ll find in a modern office, but what really makes it special is the positive vibe and supportive / happy team.
For the good: We want our team to make a difference both at work and in society. We offer 3 paid days per year to each person for charitable work, encourage charitable initiatives and we’re committed to making a substantial annual donation to a charity chosen by the team.
The role
After an initial period of training in how we work as a business (systems / tools / market etc) you will lead one of our experienced existing teams.
This is a broad role combining leadership of a team with account management / development of our key clients:
- Leading from the front and developing / mentoring your team members
- Identifying areas for improvment and working with individuals to reach their potential
- Overseeing all areas of recruitment delivery
- Driving activity to ensure success
- Ensuring systems and procedures are mantained
- Developing a deep understanding of our clients businesses
- Offering a consultative approach to all client briefs
- Utilising extensive in house resources to identify talent for your own roles
- Interviewing and submitting candidates
- Working closely with internal teams: resourcing, sales, marketing
What do we look for?
We’re looking for candidates who have 2 plus years of experience managing a team of at least 3+ billers within a permanent recruitment agency.
Whilst new business isn’t a big focus for us it’s important that the right candiate is comfortable wth sales so that in any quiet periods they are able to lead from the front and guide others.
Our approach is highly service orientated, so you must be able to demonstrate that you work with clients on a consultative rather than transactional (portal based) basis.
We’re a diverse team that loves what they do and collaborates closely, so you’ll need to have a team orientated and personable approach to managment.
In return we offer a grown up and exciting career opportunity within the creative recruitment sector. The earning opportunity is uncapped and the base salary attractive.
