Job Description:
We are working on behalf of a prominent multi-manager hedge fund that is expanding its healthcare coverage team and is seeking a Global Healthcare Equity Analyst to help manage a portfolio of global healthcare equities. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious analyst to work directly with a senior Portfolio Manager who has over 10 years of healthcare equities experience and a strong performance record.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a critical role in healthcare equity analysis, working alongside an experienced team to support portfolio management and strategic investment decision-making. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in healthcare equity research and a strong interest in the healthcare sector. Applicants with experience in Long/Short Equities, Asset Management, or top-tier Equity Research teams at leading investment banks are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in managing and monitoring healthcare equity positions within the portfolio
*Conduct in-depth research and analysis of healthcare companies, including financial modelling, valuation, and competitive landscape assessments
*Identify and present investment ideas and recommendations to senior portfolio managers
*Contribute to investment strategy development, including idea generation, due diligence, and stock selection
*Monitor market trends, industry shifts, and regulatory developments impacting the healthcare sector
*Attend industry events, meetings with company management, and conferences to gather insights
*Collaborate closely with the research team to develop sector-focused investment strategies
Qualifications:
*Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Fundamental Equity Analyst, specialising in healthcare equities
*Background in Long-Only Asset Management, L/S Hedge Funds, or Equity Research teams preferred
*Experience with Long/Short equities strategies is advantageous but not essential
*Genuine passion for public market investments and healthcare equities
