Job Description:
A leading London-based hedge fund seeks a VP-level Data Analyst/Engineer to design, implement, and optimise data pipelines and analytics solutions. Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering, you will play a critical role in developing scalable data processes and dashboards to drive real-time decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
*ETL Development: Build and optimise robust ETL pipelines for large-scale financial data.
*Dashboards & Reporting: Collaborate with the Head of Risk to create dashboards for portfolio performance and risk metrics.
*Data Analytics: Implement data models, aggregations, and visualisations using Python, Tableau, or similar tools.
*Tech Solutions: Deploy and optimise modern data platforms and engineering tools, ensuring system integrity and performance.
Required Skills
*Programming: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
*Data Mastery: Expertise in modelling, warehousing, and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
*Financial Data: Familiarity with risk metrics, trading data, and portfolio analytics.
*Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and communication skills for complex data challenges.
Preferred: Financial services experience, knowledge of risk metrics (e.g., VaR), and tools like Kafka or Airflow.
