Job Description:
Job Title: Community Development Worker
Location: Worksop
Salary and Benefits:
*Salary: £26,352 (£21,366.48 pro-rata) per annum + benefits
*Pension: Automatic enrolment in the South Yorkshire Pension Scheme
*Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays (increases with service to a maximum of 29 days plus bank holidays)
About the Role:
As a Community Development Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the College’s Community Learning Team, coordinating community learning initiatives, engaging with community groups, and assisting with college events. Your responsibilities will help expand educational access, increase enrollment, and promote the College’s mission within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
*Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community groups, identify skill needs, and create new learning opportunities.
*Program Coordination: Oversee marketing, scheduling, and correspondence for community learning programs, helping to meet funding requirements.
*Events Support: Assist in organizing events, including Awards Evenings and Community activities, representing the College’s commitment to its community.
*Data Management: Maintain accurate records, including student information, evaluations, and progression data.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
*Experience: Previous experience in community development or a related field.
*Qualifications: Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy, First Aid at Work certification (or willingness to undertake).
*Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
