Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support
Location: Crosby, Liverpool
Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of Work: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm
Rate of Pay: GBP95+ per day (based on experience)
About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for students with special educational needs in a primary school located in Crosby, Liverpool. This role focuses on helping a specific child succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by offering consistent and tailored support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide focused, 1:1 support for a student with special educational needs, working both in the classroom and during activities outside the classroom.
Implement personalised learning and behaviour management strategies to assist the student in achieving their developmental and educational milestones.
Assist with daily classroom activities, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to adapt resources and learning materials to meet the child’s specific needs.
What Were Looking For:
Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly Autism, ADHD, or social-emotional challenges.
Skills: A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach with strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Additional Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training is preferred (training can be provided if needed).
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must:
Have the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
Be able to provide two professional references related to childcare or SEN experience.
