Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS)

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects across South East England and the Home Counties, contributing to the mission of providing top-tier construction solutions.
About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play an essential role in supporting commercial operations. Working closely with the QS department, and alongside site teams and apprentices, you will ensure accurate cost management, risk assessment, and provide innovative commercial solutions to align with client needs and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
*Work Procurement: Maintain and build relationships with clients, source new opportunities, and complete tenders in a timely manner.
*Pre-Contract: Assess tender documents, manage subcontractor and material supplier databases, and prepare estimates for groundworks projects.
*Post-Contract: Oversee contract documentation, valuations, and payments, while providing commercial advice to the site team on project strategy and issues.
*Reporting: Prepare monthly forecasts, cost reports, and monitor tender success rates, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
*Contract Management: Handle subcontractor negotiations, site measurements, variations, and manage final accounts to ensure projects meet financial targets.

Requirements:
*Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
*Relevant experience in the Building and Civil Engineering industry.
*Minimum of 2 years? QS experience ? ideally in Groundworks.
*Strong understanding of construction contracts, forms of measurement, and health & safety regulations.
*Excellent IT skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
*Commercial acumen, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
