Job Description:
We are pleased to be working on behalf of a growing logistics company based in Felixstowe who are looking for an experienced Traffic Operator to join their team.
The successful candidate will be managing and monitoring driver’s daily activities whilst ensuring timely and efficient movement and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Coordinate the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles or shipments based on established routes and deadlines.
*Monitor traffic conditions, delays, and changes to optimize transportation schedules.
*Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
*Maintain accurate records of all traffic-related activities, including dispatch logs, schedules, and incident reports.
*Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure all service levels are met.
*Use traffic management software to track vehicle movements, shipments, and route adjustments.
*Analyse traffic patterns and recommend improvements for efficiency.
*Comply with all regulatory and safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Team player
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to learn new in-house systems quickly
*Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
*Positive attitude and good work ethic
