Job Description:
Are you a buyer with a proven background in establishing a successful, cost effective strategic supplier base to ensure a well-stocked manufacturing operation? Do you have the ability to develop and drive supplier performance, supplier value added initiatives, cost and effective delivery? Do you want a challenging and dynamic purchasing role? so, this could be the role for you!
Futures are working with a well renowned industry leading manufacture, in West Yorkshire, who is looking to appoint a buyer. This is an excellent company who have a strong emphasis on quality and a reputation for excellence. On offer is a competitive salary, supporting benefits package and an engineering finish every Friday (1.30pm).
Buyer - Role and Responsibilities - Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Buying, Manufacturing, Engineering
Responsible for leading cost purchase of materials and components
Managing stock control to ensure all material is available at all times for the production teams
Represent the department in meetings as required
Develop and maintain supplier and internal relationship
Buyer Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Buying, Manufacturing, Engineering
Experience buying for a manufacturer
Prior experience working closely with R&D teams
MRP/ERP experience
