Job Description:
1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS1)
A vibrant and inclusive Catholic primary school in Norris Green is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS1 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and resilient individual to make a positive impact in a child’s educational journey.
Role Details:
*Working Days: Monday to Friday
*Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
*Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide tailored support to a KS1 pupil, helping them navigate their educational and social development. The role requires a patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience working with children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours, preferably in a school setting.
*Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and provide consistent situations.
*The ability to set clear boundaries and implement behaviour management strategies effectively.
*A team player who can collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to provide holistic support for the child.
