Job Description:
Are you a strategic HR leader with a passion for empowering talent, fostering innovation, and driving performance within a highly collaborative HR team? Our client is seeking an Interim HR Head of People and shape the future of their workforce, for a minimum of 16 months!
As the Group Head of People, you will:
- Collaborate with the People Director to cultivate a high-performing, engaged, and skilled workforce.
- Lead strategic people projects, align HR practices with business goals, and champion organisational growth.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire a talented team, ensuring our client remains at the forefront of industry standards.

HR Head of People Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with leaders to embed a performance-driven culture.
- Influence strategies on employee engagement, recruitment, learning, and compliance.
- Build trust and guide leaders through complex people challenges.
Operational Excellence
- Enhance HR systems and processes for maximum efficiency.
- Deliver key people metrics and reports to inform leadership decisions.
- Oversee recruitment strategies up to Director level, ensuring exceptional hires.
Team Development
- Manage and mentor a People team of three direct reports plus overall team of five.
- Drive initiatives like engagement surveys, learning programs, and leadership development.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Stay ahead of legislative changes and align policies with best practices.
- Handle high-risk employee relations issues with expertise and care.
Financial Acumen
- Manage learning, development, and recruitment budgets.
- Ensure financial efficiency in all people-related initiatives.
Communication
- Lead internal communications that resonate and inspire.
- Build bridges across teams to ensure the People strategy thrives.
Your Skills
- CIPD Qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Proficient in job evaluation systems
- Analytical mindset with IT and numerical prowess

Location: Westminster 2 days per week / Hybrid
Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Benefits: £71,600 base salary plus Retention bonus £7K, 3% inflation increase April 24, full benefits package.
