Job Purpose *Provide high level oversight of a busy audit function, ensuring effective communication on all aspects of audit compliance across the firm
*Review hot and cold audit and assurance files
*Identify new audit guidance and processes in line with the ever-evolving auditing standards, emerging trends, relevant issues, and review findings
*Manage relationships with external audit reviewers
*Lead liaison with the ICAEW on audit compliance matters, including managing regulatory visits and implementing recommendations
*Monitor audit training needs and champion professional development and skill sharing across the firm
*Plan and perform on-site audit due diligence visits and following up on post-completion file reviews
*Set an example as a hands-on Director

The Successful Candidate *A proven track record operating at Audit RI or Audit Senior Manager level within an ICAEW or ACCA registered firm
*Technically proficient, with extensive UK external audit experience
*Strong leadership skills with good people management skills
*Excellent communication and advisory skills
*Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
*Self-motivated, hands-on and highly organised
