Location - Barrow - in - Furness, LA14 4QS
Hours - Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, variable shift

In this role the Security Manager will be accountable for the management and delivery of security. This will include compliance, statutory, contractual and company regulations and processes. This is an active and visible role requiring excellent customer relationships, commercial, supplier management and people management skills with the ability to influence people across a wide spectrum.
This critical, customer-facing role encompasses the delivery of hands on daily operational management of a high profile key account. You will lead, manage and motivate a team of up to 6 security officers who are based on site, including supervisory staff. You will be an excellent customer service ambassador for the site and ensure the delivery of exceptional standards of safety and security.
In this key role as Security Manager working within the Facilities Management industry, you will produce, implement and manage operational procedures and processes in line with contract and regulatory standards/compliance with enforcement agencies and auditory bodies - including health and safety. You will continually drive to enhance operational standards, through sustainability, innovation and best practice by achieving performance targets and other business plan objectives within budget. You will also oversee the incident and accident management, reporting, budgeting and ensuring staff rotas to maximise staff resources.

*Proven knowledge and a track record of successfully delivering strategy
*Must have all round experience of managing facilities teams
*Expert knowledge and experience of managing in a challenging environment
*Able to evidence best practise, implement change, drive continuous improvement
*Work well under pressure, handle pressure situations
*Experience being the lead on a wide range of events, internal and external
*Happy and confident in engagement at Senior levels of the client team
*Frontline SIA badge for manned guarding
*Demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role
*Strong leadership skills with a motivational approach
*Engage and communicate with a wide range of Senior Client/External staff
*Knowledge of delivering security to high profile sites
*Highly customer focussed
*Able to manage change quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining effective service provision
*Flexible approach
*Ability to make decisions and bring clarity to difficult situations
*Able to deliver results under pressure
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Be able to produce details reports, investigations and action plans
*Knowledge of employee relations and employment law
*Commitment and direction of people development
*Experience of financial and budget management
We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will ideally already have current IOSH and first aid qualifications, and ideally a security management qualification or similar. You will also have management experience gained in a similar role, within a fast paced, client led environment, ideally gained within the FM / Corporate / industrial / Manufacturing sector.
