Job Description:
About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Higher Education team, as an Account Manager responsible for managing relationships within the Higher Education Sector.
The Account Manager will work across a defined portfolio of Higher Education institutions, building relationships that put the customer at the core of everything they do, whilst collaborating with the patch allocated Account Director and Sales Support to achieve their Sales Target and performance measures.
We are looking for a team player with the ability to work independently. A positive ’can do’ attitude and brilliant communication skills are also key for this role. Must have an excellent attention to detail, high standards and quality of work and be able to adapt to different working styles.
Experienced Salesperson within Education
*Enthusiasm for relationship management and lead generation
*Proactive management of Higher Education customers and responding to customer queries in a timely manner
*An understanding of Higher Education procurement guidelines
*Alignment to Academia’s values
*Meet and exceed key performance indicators
*Conducting detailed quarterly business reviews
*Ability to work closely with an Account Director to execute agreed account plans
Influential with a strong work ethic
*Capable of building strong internal cross-functional relationships
*Experienced influencer who can build a successful internal network to achieve account plan priorities
*Prior experience in delivering engaging presentations to (middle management IT professionals)
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a Sales Manager for Higher Education but also working closely with the Account Director team and wider Academia business units to ensure project deadlines are hit and targets are achieved. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding business within a regionalised account patch, and collaborating with the Account Director to maintain and expand lines of business within the aligned Academia portfolio of accounts.
*Communication between Academia and other partners
*Presenting themselves as the main contact for Academia development and lapsed accounts, and growing Academia wallet share in these area’s
*Forecasting and supporting accurate pipeline reporting to management
*Utilise our CRM system to develop and manage pipeline and produce pipeline reports for internal stakeholders
*Completing regular customer meetings to ensure continuous provision of exemplary Academia Service to current and prospective customers
*Supporting aligned Account Director and Sales Support teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
Key Skills:
*Experience working in IT, preferably in an education function
*Understanding of technologies place within Education
*Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
*Ability to support and achieve sales targets and KPI’s
*Excellent time management skills
*Ambition to learn and improve
*Comfortable presenting internally and externally
*Highly detail-oriented and organised
*Have an ability to work independently, autonomously and take initiative
*Proven ability to execute business developed plans
*Able to manage multiple tasks balance workloads
