Our client is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit finance team in central London. If you hold an Accounting/Finance degree, are pursuing ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications, or have experience as an AAT trainee, they’d love to hear from you!

Our client empowers independent labels, distributors, and rights-holders globally, representing tens of thousands of labels and hundreds of thousands of artists.

Key Responsibilities:

*Oversee Accounts Payable using advanced AI character recognition technology
*Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
*Ensure accurate posting and management of expense creditors/accounts payable
*Reconcile intercompany accounts and generate invoices
*Manage petty cash and staff expenses
*Assist with general accounting tasks and month-end reporting
*Investigate budget vs. actual variances
*Support the Finance team with ad hoc projects

What They’re Looking For:
*Experience with accounting software (preferably Sage and Sage Intelligence)
*Proficiency in multicurrency transactions (USD/EUR/GBP)
*Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups
*Excellent attention to detail and numerical confidence
*Strong time management and organizational abilities
*Ability to work independently and under pressure
*A passion for music and supporting independent artists
*Tech-savvy, ideally with experience in AI character recognition
*Exposure to music and royalties management is a plus
