Job Description:
My dynamic and professional accountancy practice client has a brand new position for a Practice Manager to join the team. As Practice Manager, you will be crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of the firm. This is a non-client facing role, reporting directly to the partners. You will oversee the internal support team (5 team members) and support client managers and partners to ensure the highest level of client service. The role offers growth potential and could develop into a senior leadership position.
The duties of the Practice Manager will include:
*Managing the internal operations of the practice and ensure business runs smoothly.
*Maintaining the internal accounting function, prepare financial reports, and provide financial performance updates to the Directors.
*Overseeing the support team, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently, and hold regular meetings.
*Leading teams in areas such as payroll preparation, customer service, financial record maintenance, administration, and office management.
*Monitoring and reporting key financial and operational metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
*Handling business banking, supplier payments, and manage sales and purchase ledger tasks.
Experience required for the Practice Manager include:
*Proven experience in practice management or a similar role within an accountancy or financial services environment.
*AAT 3 or above accountancy qualification.
*HR experience is an advantage.
*Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and develop team members.
*Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
*Proficiency in internal accounting and financial reporting.
