Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a Sales Estimator on a permanent basis.
If you have strong estimating experience and expertise in Engineering/ Laser Cutting/ Press Brake machinery this role could be ideal for you.
The Job you’ll do
*This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Estimator with expertise in Engineering/ Laser Cutting/ Press Brake machinery.
*The Sales Estimator will be responsible for tasks such as:
*Lead in driving forward technical driven estimating for key engineering initiatives through. modern manufacturing technologies such as CNC Laser Equipment, CNC Press Brake, Cobot Welding and Fabrication.
*Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs, clarify technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
*Liaise with internal stakeholders and where necessary suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and external services required for bespoke projects.
*Analyse project specifications, technical drawings and customer requirements to generate accurate cost estimates.
*Maintain thorough documentation of all cost estimates, including assumptions, data sources and calculation methods.
*Strong customer and sales focus, ensuring service levels to internal and external customers are maintained and constantly improved.
*Maintain records of estimates versus actual costs for ongoing improvement in accuracy and efficiency.
*Lead and participate in project meetings.
*Work with multi-site production and engineering teams to refine manufacturing processes for improved cost effectiveness.
*Adopt existing systems of work whilst also developing and cascading new methodologies and improved workflows for optimal project management.
About You
Key attributes
*Experience in an Engineering background.
*in Laser Cutting processing.
*Experience in Press Brake processing.
*Familiarity with metal fabrication processes or a manufacturing background.
*Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
*Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
*Ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
*Strong IT skills, particularly ERP and Microsoft 365.
Qualifications
*Proven experience in an estimator tole.
*Proven experience in multi-discipline teams and environments.
*Technical or engineering background, qualification preferred but not essential.
