Health and Safety Manager
Maidstone, Kent
£38,000 to £45,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, Office-Based
Premier Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company in Maidstone to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and compliance of their operations.
Key Responsibilities
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will:
*Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
*Conduct risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
*Manage and monitor all health and safety documentation, including COSHH assessments, accident records, and training logs.
*Deliver health and safety training sessions and toolbox talks to employees.
*Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend preventative measures.
*Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
*Liaise with external bodies, including regulatory authorities, as required.
*Promote a culture of health and safety awareness throughout the organisation.
Requirements
*A proven track record in a similar Health and Safety role, ideally within manufacturing or a related sector.
*NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
*IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification (essential).
*Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
*Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.
