We are working with a successful business based in Peterborough, who are looking to add a Mechanical Contracts Manager to their team.
This role offers the chance to manage engineering projects (predominantly mechanical installations in processing/manufacturing sites) from inception to completion. You will be responsible for helping our client to grow their business, manage the contracts as they happen, and ensure a successful outcome.
Duties:
Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
Developing and presenting project proposals
Meeting with customers to find out their requirements
Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales.
Overseeing Important legal documents relating to projects.
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers.
Liaising with technical, financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams and the customer’s representative
Person Specification:
Mechanical Engineering Qualification or equivalent experience
Excellent engineering knowledge, preferably within food processing, manufacturing sectors.
Demonstrates commercial awareness and the ability to manage project finances
Ability to multi-task across several projects.
Personable with ability to maintain good working relationships.
Basic AutoCAD skills preferred.
Salary £60,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Bonus
