Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to women who suffer from post-natal depression. The role of Deputy Charity Manager is an opportunity for a creative and organised individual to join a well established charity which is meeting a vital need for support, education and information in this field.
This is a new role within the charity and will require a hands-on approach to help move the work of the charity forward. The post holder will initially focus on the day-to-day management of the organisation. Whilst the job is mainly remote the post-holder will be expected to meet face-to-face with our staff in our office in Fulham, West London at least twice a month.
The focus of the role is implementing new initiatives within the organisation whilst maintaining contact with the staff and with the organisation’s trustees and donors. The post-holder will oversee the updating of the organisation’s website in consultation with the Charity Manager.
This is an attractive role for someone who would like to work part- time and manage their own working hours, due to other commitments. The Association for Post-natal Illness will encourage the post-holder to raise the profile of the organisation whilst understanding that our clients are extremely vulnerable and must always be our first concern. Some knowledge of post-natal depression would be helpful but is not a requirement. A positive attitude towards people who experience mental illness is essential.
We welcome all candidates to apply, regardless of age, sex/gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation, marital status or pregnancy/maternity. Due to circumstances beyond our control candidates must be able to climb and descend two flights of stairs to access the charity office.
We are offering a salary of £15,200 p.a. for a 16 hour week. The package includes
8 days paid holiday per year plus generous amounts of time at Christmas
and Easter.
If you do not hear from us for two weeks following your application you must assume that the application was unsuccessful.
