Job Description:
An excellent opportunity for a very experienced Maintenance Suprvisor is available to join a world leader of Ingredients and Premix Manufacturing solutions for the food, beverage and nutrition industries. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for superversing all Engineering and Facility activities across 2 sites in Kent. You will be a mentor and coach for the team and provide leadership and direction in all activities whilst providing a strong support service for all departments. Will also work closely with the Health & Safety representative to manage all legal compliance duties and liaise with the Operations and General Manager regarding on site development and projects. The main responsibilities will be:
*Efficiently seupervise and provide support to the team of technicians on any technical matters.
*To improve service delivery performance and reduce costs where possible
*Monitor and report on KPI’s for the department
*Undertake engineer audits for machinery where necessary
*Deliver Tool Box Talks
*Manage all aspects of engineering in relation to all works, from planning to completion.
*Developing practices, routines and solutions to help improve productivitiy and product quality
*Perform risk assessment
*Take ownership of the site T-Card reporting system for Maintenance and breakdown reports and delegate tasks to the team
*Develop new health & safety policy procedures in line with existing rules and regulations.
*Support and conduct in-house training sessions to teach employees about best practice and safe systems of work.
*Keep records up to date.
*Active involvement in continuous improvements as needed and guided by General Manager
*Make sure Food Hygeine and Food Safety standards are upheld at all times.
The successful candidate will hold a formal Engineering Qualification and have Electrical and Mechanical Installation experience. Have a good understanding of Health and Safety prcedures and Hydraulic knowledge. Must also have an understanding of Food safety expectations and upholds them to ensure no risks. It is essential to be from and FMCG environment.
