Psychology Graduate - Teaching Assistant (SEND School, Liverpool)
Location: Liverpool
Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £75 - £90 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you a Psychology graduate passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant in a dynamic SEND school in Liverpool!
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and other additional learning needs. Your role will include:
*Providing one-to-one and group support to students.
*Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
*Using your knowledge of psychology to implement strategies that enhance student’s engagement and learning outcomes.
*Supporting students with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills development.
*Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, empathetic, and eager to grow within a supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will have:
*A degree in Psychology or a related field.
*A genuine interest in working with children with SEND.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
*Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Previous experience in an educational or care setting (preferred but not essential).
