Job Description:
Do you have a sense of adventure, and enjoy being out and about in nature? This job could be ideal for you…
You’ll be working on land surveys or underground utility surveys; using drill rigs to construct boreholes and water wells. And taking soil and water samples.
You could sometimes be out in the rain at 6.30am, so if you’re looking for a warm office 9-5 environment then this isn’t for you (though you will also be in the office a lot of the time).
There will be projects to manage, and you’ll be dealing directly with clients.
You’ll be able to use your problem solving skills. And you’ll have plenty of scientific data to work with and interpret.
You will get experience in site investigation, and remediation techniques.
It’s a great opportunity to develop your career in the geotechnical engineering and contaminated land sector.
The business is an innovative consultancy providing a ’cradle to grave’ Brownfield development service
It’s a ’can do’ business, with the expertise of a large company, but the personal touch of a small one.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT…
Other graduates have done well in the business, so they know what you’ll need. You’ll get training in anything you haven’t done. When you’re ready, you’ll be given the opportunity to manage your own work, and will have limited supervision.
Going forward, continued professional development is encouraged at all levels. You’ll get a generous training budget to help with this.
WHERE YOU’LL BE BASED..
The office is near to Aylesbury, in Buckinghamshire. Commutable from areas including Watford, Oxford, Luton, and Milton Keynes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED…
Your degree should have some relevance; for example Environmental Science; Geology; Environmental management; Environmental Diagnostics; or Environmental engineering. Maybe Geography.
You will also need to have a full, clean UK driving licence as you’ll be travelling to sites across the UK. but if you are learning to drive, but haven’t got your licence yet, then that may be ok.
WHAT TO DO NEXT…
Send your cv asap. If you look a good match then we will speak more about the role and business, and how it may match what you are looking for
