Job Description:

Can you collaborate with the school and colleagues to develop and improve the computer science curriculum?

We are searching for a passionate Computer Science teacher in Lancaster to inspire and teach KS3 and KS4 students. This position offers competitive daily rates, ranging from £155 to £230, depending on your experience and qualifications.
In this role, you will be responsible to help students build problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of technology. Your role will also include delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and preparing them for exams while fostering a deep understanding of how computer science impacts the world.

Responsibilities:
*Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
*Strong knowledge of the curriculum
*Punctual and reliable
*Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
*Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
*Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
*Set homework and mark promptly
*Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
*Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
*Respond to questioning
Preferred skills:
*Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
*Strong classroom management
*Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
*Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
*Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience
Personal attributes:
*You will have a genuine passion for teaching
*Experience up to key stage 3/4
*QTS/PGCE equivalent
*Be flexible and committed
