Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare and cook nutritious meals for service users, taking into consideration any dietary requirements or preferences
*Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and regulations
*Tasks such as washing dishes, cleaning surface areas, and disposing of waste
*Collaborate with the team to create menu plans that cater to the diverse tastes and nutritional needs of the residents
*Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and minimise food waste
Requirements:
*Experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably within a care home or healthcare environment
*Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with relevant certifications
*Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
*Strong organisational and time management skills
*A positive attitude and a genuine passion for cooking nutritious and delicious meals
*Evenings and weekends as required, on a rota basis
