The key responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist role are:
*Procurement Planning: *Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
*Forecast demand and manage purchasing budgets effectively.
*Supplier Management: *Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best value.
*Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure high-quality goods and services.
*Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contract terms and KPIs.
*Operational Efficiency: *Oversee purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
*Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and requirements.
*Analyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
*Compliance and Risk Management: *Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
*Mitigate risks by performing thorough market analysis and maintaining a diversified supplier base.
*Continuous Improvement: *Drive innovation by recommending improvements in procurement processes.
*Stay updated on market trends, new suppliers, and emerging technologies.
Profile
The successful candidate for the Procurement Specialist role is someone with the following:
*Experience: *Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role.
*Ideally have knowledge within the Oil & Gas.
*Negotiation experience with a 360 capacity
*Familiarity with procurement software and systems (e.g. Oracle).
*Bonus if have CIPS - not essential
*Skills: *Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
*Excellent analytically and problem-solving skills.
*Attention to detail and organisational proficiency.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
