Occupational Health Advisor
Contract: Permanent, part-time and full-time hours available
Location: Royston with requirement to travel
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
SUMMARY
Has gained qualification or demonstrable experience within Occupational Health. Undertaking clinical activities including vaccinations, phlebotomy, questionnaire screening and medical assessments in relation to health surveillance and fitness to work medicals but is developing competency with case management skills.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE
*Nursing Qualification
*Occupational Health degree/diploma & NMC registration
*Demonstrable equivalent experience within Occupational Health departments
*Experience of attending, presenting, and hosting client Wellness and Health promotion days
*Trained to undertake all clinical services including health surveillance, fitness to work medicals, vaccinations and phlebotomy
*Extending experience, skills and competency with case management activities undertaking increasing complexity of referrals
CORE SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS
*Nursing Qualification and active NMC registration
*Previous experience in a commercial or corporate OH environment or relevant transferrable skills (desired but not essential)
*Organisational skills - good time management and priority setting
*Ability to follow agreed standards of Practice and Protocols
*Exemplary communication skills and good telephone manner
*Ability to identify gaps in own skills and knowledge and request training to promote clinical development
*Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
*At all times act and behave in accordance with NMC – The Code
*Good interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills
*Full UK driving licence
*Responsible
*Well Organised
*Professional in appearance and approach
*Able to work alone or as a team
