Job Description:
Collins Property Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading Build to Rent company who have had rapid growth and expansion over the last 5 years.
We are seeking an experienced Fire & Building Safety Manager to manage all of the clients building safety cases professionally and proactively, ensuring all reports are accurate whilst maintaining engagement with all stakeholders. You will also manage the relationship between the client and its approved fire risk assessment consultancy through a cycle of continuous improvement endeavour to develop building safety and fire safety matters within the business.
Responsibilities include:
*Keeping each Building Safety Case current and updated. Including annual audit of each document
*Manage each Building Safety Case improvement log ensuring that actions are entered into and tracked through Evolution. Share improvements across the business, as appropriate.
*As required, undertake inspections of inscope buildings to check that the Building Safety Case is current.
*Capture new processes and refine before training out to identified internal stakeholders.
*Keep fire compliance to the highest standards on all allocated portfolios under the control of Facilities and Block Management.
*Managing invoices and supporting with ad hoc requests
*Maintaining digital filing, creating brochures and working with suppliers to do window cards
*Producing and reviewing tenancy documentation ensuring the highest standards of completion.
*Booking gas safety, inventories and EPC’s as applicable
*Managing any changes or updates to terms/documentation and ensuring they are concluded in a timely fashion.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
*Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
*Educated to A-Level standard minimum
*Grad/Tech IOSH or the desire to work towards
*Direct previous experience of residential common parts property management
*Suitable knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation, Building Safety Act, and fire safety legislation, relevant to residential property management
*Good technical knowledge and ability on construction and repair/refurbishment of commercial/residential property
*Commercial acumen and effective communication skills, both verbally and written
*A minimum of five years’ property experience
*Contract management and procurement experience
Fire and Safety Building Manager - Can either be based at London (37.5 hours / week) or Newcastle - salary up to £45k
