Job Description:
Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a returning client who are a well-established firm in the legal sector within Edinburgh and they are looking to appoint an assistant credit control manager to assist in managing a team of experienced credit control professionals
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in credit control and also managing a team, as this role will involve the credit control team reporting into you daily and overseeing various aspects of the function.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely and effective collection of debts.
*Establish and maintain relationships with clients’ finance teams to drive efficient and timely cash collection.
*Co-manage the credit control team alongside one other
*Attend monthly review meetings to assist the Head of Credit Control.
*Chase overdue debtor balances in accordance with Credit Control Procedures and workflows.
*Monitor monthly payment plans to ensure funds are received on the due date.
*Issue fees/receipts to clients at month-end and upon completion of property sales.
*Process card payments via an online portal.
*Maintain and monitor the Credit Control inbox daily, escalating issues as required.
*Ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy for input into systems.
*Perform ad hoc duties as and when required by the management team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in credit control; experience within the legal sector is desirable but not essential.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
*Proactive and capable of driving improvement in function independently.
*Positive attitude with good attention to detail.
