Job Description:
Due to expansion, an experienced Claims Manager is sought for a permanent role at a Bromley based law firm. The firm has links to the insurance industry and specialises in dealing with matters arising from RTA claims. This is a full-time role with the opportunity for hybrid working following a settling in period as well as training and support to provide career progression.
Role involves:
·Provide guidance, training and mentorship to team members
·Monitor individual and team performance to ensure productivity and quality targets are met, escalate concerns accordingly
·Overseeing the processing of claims, reviewing and approving
·Undertake file reviews, supervision and sign off on Court documents
·Conduct internal Audits for Fee Earners to maintain effective case management and ensure SLA’s are complied with
·Ensure the team adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements
·Conduct one-to-one with Fee Earners reviewing complex claims and technical advice
·Completing audits for files for external insurer audits
·General supervisory duties including monitoring of timekeeping, holidays and sick leave
·Complete staff probationary reviews and appraisals where necessary
·Staff recruitment, including arranging and conducting interviews
·Manage team training needs and creating training material delivered to both Fee Earners and Insurer Clients
·Make recommendations for process improvements/areas of change and implement new processes and documents by collaborating with IT to implement the system changes
·Participate in conference calls with insurer client as to team progress and general reporting
·Ability to motivate and inspire the team in the office and remotely.
·Undertake appropriate training and development in relation to the role.
·Adhoc duties of a reasonable nature which may be requested from time to time.
Required experience/qualifications
·Previous experience in insurance claims processing, with at least 1 year supervisory role and full civil litigation knowledge running a litigated portfolio
·Strong decision-making abilities, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
·Data analysis and interpretation skills, using data from a variety of sources
·Ability to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement across your team
·Clear and concise verbal and written communication
·Ability to convey complex information in an understandable way to a range of audiences
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
·Attention to detail in reviewing claims and documentation
·Dedication to providing excellent customer service
·Empathy and understanding when dealing with team and client needs
·Ensuring team members understand and follow compliance requirements
·Flexibility to adjust to changes in processes or regulations
·Willingness to learn and implement new technologies, strategies, and ways of working
·Excellent leadership and team-building skills
·Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
